Classic Football Matches +
Великобритания
Добавлен 30 дек 2022
This channel is to showcase my DVD collection of football matches that i have been colleting since my first ever video recording in early 1980. I will mostly be uploading games from the 60's right through to the 1990's. I have many full programmes of LWT's 'The Big Match' and various others from the other regions around England, plus the BBC's 'Match Of The Day. Many of these havent been on TV, since the original broadcast date. There will be highlights and many full games too.
I also have loads of International games too. (Unfortunately no Tournament games can be uploaded). I will also be adding review programmes, and other football related bits & bobs. If there are any games that you want to see, then get in touch and i will do my best to upload, if i have and isn't 'COPYRIGHT'
restricted, ie World Cup, Champios League & The Euro's.

hahahah that offside for the 3-2 !!! hahahahaha. the voice of the commentator said it all!!
Thanks for putting this up. I was in the Newmarket road end that day. Incredible game. Incredible pitch.... 🤣
League Cups are always better matches than the FA Cup I feel. I didn't realise that the original cup was substituted for a pretty bland replacement, surprised it wasnt a 5ltr plastic milk carton.
What a great game. Thnx
It's sad seeing this from Serbia. NT 50y ago played way better and entertaining football than now. Dzajic had such control of his body with fakes putting opponent out of position...very few players in today's era of industrial football have that kind of skill. Now it's all repetition, strength, speed and just running. What cost Yugoslavia in this game was stupid undisciplined short passes in its penalty area by CBs and just bad lost possessions by DCM. Fullbacks and wingers top class, defense trash. I think manager of NT at this time was young Vujadin Boskov, who later had a lot of success in Netherlands and Italy. Also, LB who the commentator praises is Dragoslav Stepanovic who had success as a coach in Bundesliga in the 90s. Not having a disciplined defense and world class finisher (I have no clue why Skoblar never played for NT at that time, he was golden boot one year in the early 70s) cost this generation not winning something.
I don't remember this match personally but I remember my dad talking about this game and how Ronald Koeman talked himself out of a red card then went on to score the opening goal
Both goals are on Seaman. Its baffling to see a GK on this lvl of competition with such slow reflexes.
Il y avait un penalty sur Rocheteau a 1-1 je crois
66 matches, 66 , truly remarkable . as Adele sang, we could have had it all. Incredible team and what an achievement that rightfully stands alongside all.
It was called football , Not Kick off
Bettega looked like Rik Mayall.
Chris Simpkin a great servant to Hull
Laurie was good at Orient and had a verygood game.
For a Gills fan Brian Moore enjoyed the Fulham gamr😊
Was there a pitch invasion mid game in this fixture or was the year after or before. I missed the remainder of the game because I left then.
I only caught the end of this season on Sky when BSkyB relaunched the BSB Sports Channel as Sky Sports in April 1991. Sampdoria were a wonderful side to watch, with Vialli, Mancini, Lombardo, Cerezo, Vierchowod and the rest of the team. Do you have any matches that were broadcast on the Sports Channel before the BSB/Sky merger and channel rebrand? If possible, could you include the title sequence and studio analysis? By the way, the theme music you can hear in the goals package (Arena by Murray Munro) is one of my favourite sports TV theme tunes.
Derby's point proved crucial 9 months later.
So much better than the cheating, diving, divas and libary supporters of the Premier League. Steve Kember helping junior clubs on Sundays how many premier players today would do that.
Lovely memories happy days. There is something that makes one feel secure with Brian Moore at the helm.
Two clear reds there for w ham
Peter Grotier a good keeper who went on to Lincoln
Great to hear real supporters not the liberies at premier league today
1969/70
They moved from South London and conquered North London, That has got to hurt!
Lembranças e imagens maravilhosas!😁⚽️👍🏼
Watching this brings back great memories, (I don’t think any of todays premiership teams could play on that pitch)…
Zico was probably, the best player in the world at that time.
Probablemente no. Diego jugaba en Boca Juniors e hizo un campeonato memorable en su país y excelentes actuaciones con la selección Argentina en varias giras. Diego estaba en un nivel excelente ...
It amazes me that John McGovern was never capped for Scotland
Why is there no african looking players there?, i am bloody well confused.
Used to love this fixture, home and away. It was our original East End derby between two clubs formed within 7 years of each other. Special atmosphere back then, and it'd be nice to see Leyton Orient find their place further up the EFL once again. Happy days ⚒
That turn by Thyssen
Interesting to see Colin Garwood in action for Colchester here. He was on fire for Oldham Athletic in the second half of the 1973-74 season, and was our leading scorer as we won the Third Division title. I think Jimmy Frizzell might have slipped up in selling him to Huddersfield a couple of months into the 1974-75 season, as we struggled to score goals from then on and only narrowly escaped relegation.
When did they stop giving the indirect free kicks in the box? I know they still can, but when I watch many of these older matches, you see more given for innocuous fouls that aren’t goal scoring opportunities, but would be penalties today. I wish they would return to this interpretation of the law, it would probably take away some of the embellishments we see today.
Keegan picked out some crackers
Chapuisat and Sutter took Switzerland to the US in 94.... I remember balling my eyes out because Portugal was out...Futre was unlucky, his personality, grit, will to succeed, talent and flair deserved a big stage performance like the likes of Stoichkov and Hagi had in 94, Gazza in 90 and 96, Poborsky and Nedved in 96, Van Basten and Gullit in 88.... He was my childhood hero.... a genuine charismatic superstar and a Good Man!!!!! Salvé Futre!
When MUTV show this it's always this version with Brian Moore
Ron Davies was a class act. I remember that game well and couldn't believe we got such a hammering at home. But we were on the slide and didn't know it. Ron signed for United a few years later but he wasn't with us that long.
Big Jim didn't have a bang in the eye, he lost a contact lens during the first half and didn't have a replacement! Jock apparently wasn't very happy!!!
Shame Gavin Peacock became some creepy ultra-religious nutter.
Future Teammates Gazza and Laudrup
Not a Spurs fan, but Galvin wasn't offside.
Cracking atmosphere shame about the result!
Great memories
Because they played for 'unfashionable' clubs, the fact bryan robson was over looked until he played utd, was a national disgrace!!, same as Statham Southampton had some wonderful players too
28:10 Carlos Caszely jugó por dos selecciones ese mundial; Chile y New Zealand 🤤🤤
gteat upload......loved that united strip
That brought back some fond memories. It was the first world cup I ever saw and it made me fall in love with the game. RIP Brian Moore and Brian Clough.
Could never happen today the ethos of International football of Nation vs Nation has been destroyed. What great memories these games bring back and what fantastic players they all were.
United singing you''ll never walk alone, which is a Celtic song and Unuted are Cektic's brother club. Not a lot of plastics know that. Up the blues!
